Happy New(s) Year 2012!

Oh boy, a whole ‘nother year to dick around in! Hot jam! Though we haven’t had much to show on this site the past year, lo, we hath not spent it idly. We’ve got a few cool professionally published comic book things lined up this year. Here’s a breakdown!

Aaron Conley got himself a sweet pinup in Mike Allred‘s soon to be released Madman 20th Anniversary Monster insanely-huge-coffee-table-sized-book and compendium-of-just-about-every-legendary-comic-artist-ever-book.
Damon Gentry is writing a ??? for ??? (can’t talk about it yet).
Aaron Conley did a ??? for ??? (information forthcoming).
Damon & Aaron ????? super ???? incredible ??? (oh it’s gonna be so good).

And here’s some stuff. Since my music co-conspirator David Roby is in town. (He’s been in Texas getting a graduate degree. I keep trying to tell him education is stupid.) We recorded some more of our original material that I just uploaded to YouTube. Here’s a couple of the better performances.

Hello and welcome back, to me. Here is a delightfully funny skit that I produced the artwork for and it was animated by the indefatigable Jeff Crocker! Nathan is played by Paul F. Tompkins, and stars Jeremy Carter and Matt Gourley and Mark McConville with Mark Gagliardi.

Construction Time Again

Well, I just finished construction on a GOODIES section that will hopefully live up to it’s name. I don’t want to diminish the ‘goodies section’ implied seal of quality, established way back when I was a young’un (that’s an Apple Macintosh reference, I think). Aaron and I had intended to do a MegaCon wrap-up INVADE MY PODCAST this week, we have some fun stories to relate, but it looks like that’ll be pushed back ’til next week or so, as we all managed to catch the convention crud, so we are down with the sickness and feel like dookie right now.

Oh yeah, this is actually a couple weeks old, but seeing as how the kickassery of it ages like a fine wine, I am happy to bring it to you now.

Scott Allie’s Horror Zone over on the Dark Horse Comics website posted this cool sketch by Guy Davis, of the cover for the next printed volume of Myspace Dark Horse Presents (Vol. 5), which will contain the short story we did called “The Horror Robber,” and in this aforementioned and below-depicted sketch, you can see our two characters Bigfoot & Horror Robber chillin’ out, maxin’ and relaxin’ behind the legendary Groo! It is a great honor for Guy Davis to draw our dudes, and for them to appear on the back cover of this MDHP volume!
