Oh boy, a whole ‘nother year to dick around in! Hot jam! Though we haven’t had much to show on this site the past year, lo, we hath not spent it idly. We’ve got a few cool professionally published comic book things lined up this year. Here’s a breakdown!

Aaron Conley got himself a sweet pinup in Mike Allred‘s soon to be released Madman 20th Anniversary Monster insanely-huge-coffee-table-sized-book and compendium-of-just-about-every-legendary-comic-artist-ever-book.
Damon Gentry is writing a ??? for ??? (can’t talk about it yet).
Aaron Conley did a ??? for ??? (information forthcoming).
Damon & Aaron ????? super ???? incredible ??? (oh it’s gonna be so good).

And here’s some stuff. Since my music co-conspirator David Roby is in town. (He’s been in Texas getting a graduate degree. I keep trying to tell him education is stupid.) We recorded some more of our original material that I just uploaded to YouTube. Here’s a couple of the better performances.

NEWSFLASH: David Roby and I are working hard on a brand new Dance The Bridge 7 song EP for 2011, it’s very close to being fully recorded, so look for Let’s Get This Boat Show On The Road EP sometime in the next couple months! It is really sounding incredible, I can’t wait to get it out.

NEWSFLASH: I’m out of public newsflashes but good things come in threes so I’ll go ahead and reserve this slot. Oh yeah, no wait, here’s something fun. From the archives, I recorded this cover of an old folk song called 500 Miles (based on the painfully breathtaking The Journeymen‘s version) a few years back when I was trying to learn guitar and how to record, and it’s one of very few of my demo tracks from that era that still sounds pretty good to me. Enjoy.

Here is a radically alternate version of a song that I put on this year’s Dance The Bridge album, Ominous Frolic (click for free download!). This was recorded a couple of years ago at my friend David Torres‘ house, and in true slacker fashion, he just now gave me a mix-down of it. David played piano and horns and drums on this recording, with David Roby on guitar. Please enjoy.
